At the beginning of February we were invited to deliver a workshop and lecture to Graphic Design students at the University of Texas in Austin.

As Austin is the live music capital of the world, the workshop focused on creating and developing an identity for a series of fictional new music festivals, soon landing in the city.

The brief challenged the students to create and develop a festival identity for their chosen genre of music and pitch their concept within 2 days. The workshop saw the students present identities for jazz, classical, EDM, blues, hip hop and bollywood festivals. The students tackled the project well and it was great to see such a vast amount of inspiring work produced in such a short amount of time.

Big thanks to UT design lecturer James Walker (husbandmen.com) for the opportunity and bringing us out to Texas.

Keep Austin Weird.
